Our Journey Thus Far

Since our beginnings in 1985, Unicom has been passionate about delivering the finest Ceylon tea to the world. We started as a small venture in the tea industry and have grown to become one of Sri Lanka’s leading tea exporters. In 2012, Union Commodities (Pvt) Ltd became a fully-owned subsidiary of Kotagala Plantations PLC and a member of the illustrious Lankem Group of Companies. Today, our teas are enjoyed in over 30 countries, and our brands — Simondou, Shaheena, and Richmond — are trusted for their exceptional quality.
